Aurora Aksnes Born June 15 1996 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015 and was praised by both music bloggers as well as from the media. She's also recorded some high-profile cover songs, like Half the World Away (by the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) The songs are widely loved. It was further recognized through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Honor her day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an attic piano and becoming enthralled with the sounds it could make. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes to study the piano as a passion or as a profession. The singer began to write her own songs. Her influences include renowned artists Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her attraction to Bjork's style.
