Aurora Aksnes Born June 15 1996 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015 and was praised by both music bloggers as well as from the media. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an attic piano and becoming enthralled with the sounds it could make. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes to study the piano as a passion or as a profession. The singer began to write her own songs. Her influences include renowned artists Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her attraction to Bjork's style. Her mom encouraged her to sing her music in front of the public, but not so that she could become famous but rather help others realize how important that they are, and the impact they can contribute to the world. Her first piano lessons began when she was six years old and started making music at the age of nine. It wasn't until she was 14 that she revealed her plans to her parents. There was no way she could have imagined to become Aurora. The actress claims that she likes writing songs. To her, music is the best method to convey anything.
